What happens when you install
SurroundR connects to HubSpot with OAuth — read and write access to contacts and companies only. We do not request your email, calendar, deals, or the rest of your CRM. OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Built in Belgium under GDPR with EU data residency.
Captured contacts are written directly into your HubSpot — we are a pipe, not a data broker. We do not resell, repackage, or train models on your contacts. Your data stays in your CRM.
During HubSpot connect, you may see HubSpot ask you to type "I accept the risk" — that is the standard prompt for any app not yet listed in HubSpot's public marketplace, not a security score. Getting started walks through what to expect.
For teams and IT
Each rep installs from the Chrome Web Store and completes their own HubSpot OAuth connection — there is no central push install for the browser piece. Google Workspace-managed organizations can allow or force-install Chrome Web Store extensions centrally. IT can contact us for the extension ID and deployment help.
